‘Fellowship’– an art exhibition by Fulbright Alumni makes a splash at Ojas Art Gallery from January 13-19, 2017.

Presented by the US Embassy, USIEF and Ojas Art, this is the first exhibition to bring together 21 Indian artists who won Fulbright Fellowships in the visual arts over five decades, from 1964- 2015.

“This exhibit brings together the work of 21 Indian artists and offers them an opportunity to showcase their collective Fulbright experience,” Adam Grotsky, Executive Director, United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF), said.

During the course of their grant period, the Fulbright artists travelled across the United States and engaged in creative research in universities, institutes, museums, art centres and ateliers.

The art show will represent multiple mediums of visual arts and will include photography, sculpture, paintings, video art, installations and graphic art, “As the artists come from a diverse cross-section, this show is really a corroboration of Indian artists going to the US and observing the nuances of the cross-cultural exchange,” says Anubhav Nath, Curatorial Director, Ojas Art.
